Iraakse vluchtelingen in Sijsele voor HLN
Portraits / Press / DocsThese Iraqi refugees arrived in Sijsele in Belgium after they escaped mid-October from the ISIS-terror in Iraq. The asylum centre of Sijsele has a capacity of around 500 beds. Sijsele is a small Belgian community with 5000 inhabitants, which mean 1 of 10 inhabitants is immigrant. However the native inhabitants live in great harmony with their new neighbours, they even organise all kinds of integration events like performances of “The Sijsele Refugee All Stars” a music band that plays original Iraqi music.
